The city of Chicago is looking for the city’s top cab drivers to be nominated to win a free medallion.

The Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection announced its nomination process will be open through June 20, according to a city statement.

The public can nominate top cab drivers through 3-1-1 and can spread the word on social media using the hashtag ChiTopCabbie.

The cab driver that wins the contest will receive a free medallion for life, according to the city.

The competition is a way to reward a licensed driver that shows heroism or high customer service, according to the statement.

Following the nomination process, the top finalists and their stories will be posted online at chitopcabbie.com for voting. Voting will last for 15 days.
