A man has been charged with stabbing another man to death Monday evening in north suburban Zion.

Police were called about a person shot about 6:17 p.m. in the parking lot of Mobil gas station at 2500 Sheridan Rd., according to Zion police.

First responders found 20-year-old Nathaniel Lang unconscious and not breathing, police said. He was taken to Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan, where he was pronounced dead.

He was not shot, but appeared to have been stabbed in the chest in an isolated incident, police said. The Lake County coroner’s office confirmed the Zion resident was stabbed in the heart, and his death was ruled a homicide.

An investigation indicated that Lang and 21-year-old Bernardino Giustino got into an argument over drugs at the gas station. Giustino left, returned with a knife and fatally stabbed the younger man, police said.

Giustino, also of Zion, was charged with first-degree murder and was ordered held on a $2 million bond Tuesday.
