A 17-year-old boy accidentally shot himself Thursday afternoon in the Washington Heights neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The boy suffered a graze wound to the leg at 4:28 p.m. in the 1000 block of West 103rd Place, according to preliminary information from Chicago Police.

He was taken in good condition to Roseland Community Hospital, police said. The shooting appears to be accidental and self-inflicted, but additional information was not immediately available.
