A teenage boy was shot Tuesday evening in the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side.

The 15-year-old was standing on a sidewalk about 5:30 p.m. in the 5800 block of South Michigan when a male walked up and started shooting, striking him in the foot, police said.

The boy was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, where his condition had stabilized, police said.
