Huntley 3, Rockford East 0: Mario Vergara led the Red Raiders with two goals in their defeat over Rockford East in the Huntley Class 3A Regional Semifinals. Ryan Larsen also made a goal while Travis Walsh, Angel Sanchez and Alessandro Vergara each had an assist. Michael Parks made four saves.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Dundee-Crown d. Jacobs 11-25, 25-19, 26-24: Breanna Novak made 10 kills, 11 digs and two aces in the Chargers’ win over the Golden Eagles. Frankie Callaro made 27 assists as Dundee-Crown improves to 20-9 overall and 4-6 in the Fox Valley Valley conference.

Harvest Christian d. Christian Liberty 25-11, 25-23: Mikayla Robinson led the way in kills with seven in the Lions victory over Christian Liberty. Amanda Cassidy had five kills and two aces; Jade Martinez gained six digs; and Hannah Murray led in assists with 16 in addition to two digs.

Huntley d. McHenry 25-14, 25-19: Erin Erb made 11 kills and six digs, while Kelsey DeWulf reached 26 assists and four kills in the Red Raiders’ win over McHenry. They now improve to 21-13 overall and 5-5 in the Fox Valley Valley conference.

Larkin d. South Elgin 25-23, 25-18: Danielle Newqui led the offense with 12 kills. Natalie Kofie finished with 22 assists for Larkin (11-24, 2-5 Upstate Eight River).

Streamwood d. East Aurora 25-23, 25-18: Streamwood (3-24, 0-7) was led by Lauren Schiferl’s five kills and Jessica Daley’s 27 digs.
