HBO confirmed Monday that the second season of “True Detective” has its full cast in place.

Joining Colin Farrell as a detective and Vince Vaughn as a criminal are Vaughn’s “Wedding Crashers” co-star Rachel McAdams as a cop and Taylor Kitsch as a highway patrol officer. Kelly Reilly (“Flight”) plays Vaughn’s actress wife.

Production is underway in California on eight episodes, dealing with “a web of conspiracy in the aftermath of a murder,” per HBO.
