With Quinn losing by approximately 167,000 votes (even if he hasn’t conceded yet), the big difference came in Cook County.

Back in 2010, Quinn beat Republican Bill Brady by 550,552 votes. On Tuesday, while Quinn handily won Cook County, his margin of victory shrunk to 380,863. That’s a difference of 169,689.
