Police are cautioning residents of the West Loop after two women were sexually assaulted in the early morning hours on Halloween.

About 4 a.m., the two women, ages 29 and 30, were walking to their vehicle near the intersection of Lake and Halsted when they were approached by two men, according to an alert issued by police.

The two men grabbed the women then battered and sexually assaulted them, police said. The males drove off in a light- or gold-colored four-door vehicle.

Both men are thought to be between 25 and 30 years old. One was decribed as white or Hispanic, standing 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-9. He weighs between 150 and 170 pounds and has a dark beard, police said.

The other man was described as white with short, blonde hair, standing 5-foot-11 to 6-foot-1 and weighing between 150 and 160 pounds, police said. He was wearing a light-colored baseball cap, a dark jacket and a black hooded sweater.

Anyone with information about the attacks is asked to call Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8380.
