(PROSPECT HEIGHTS) Multiple people were displaced after a fire damaged a northwest suburban townhouse Friday afternoon.

Authorities responded to the fire at the home in the 1400 block of Quaker Lane and found flames in the wall traveling up into the attic, Prospect Heights Fire Protection District Deputy Chief Drew Smith said.

The fire under control as of 4:30 p.m., but the walls and ceiling had collapsed in parts of the building, displacing residents of four units, Smith said.

No injuries were reported.
