A soccer star for St. Charles East in the fall, junior guard Evan DiLeonardi is very familiar with the concept of marking an opponent.

DiLeonardi carried that concept over to the basketball floor Friday night, shutting out Larkin star Christian Negron for three quarters, and the Saints unleashed a third-quarter scoring barrage to earn a 62-54 victory at Larkin while snapping the Royals’ 17-game Upstate Eight River winning streak.
