Ex-Devils track star joins NBC5 sports lineup

Thanks to Bob Skolnik for the tip about former Hinsdale Central and Princeton track and field star Rebecca Haarlow (@RebeccaHaarlow) joining the NBC5 sports staff as a free-lancer.

Time Out’s Bob Feder has more details. Haarlow’s star appears to be rising as a sports reporter with recent stints with the NFL Network, Fox Sports Network and the Big Ten Network. Haarlow has her own website with a bio, resume and pictures.

Haarlow won six Class AA state medals during her high school career, placing eighth in the 800-meter medley relay, eighth in the 400 relay and sixth in the triple jump in 1996. She was second in the 100 high hurdles, fifth in the 300 low hurdles and sixth in the triple jump in 1997.
