Hawks Win No. 20

For the first time in more than a decade, the Maine South boys basketball team reached 20 victories in a season after earning a 77-37 win over Maine East on Tuesday night. The last time the Hawks won at least 20 was during the 1998-99 season, a team sophomore coach Brendan Smaha played on.

Maine South (20-4) heads into Friday’s game against Glenbrook South on a seven-game winning streak, while Maine East (4-15) takes a seven-game losing streak into its matchup against Deerfield.
