During a trip to the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard on Wednesday, Vice President Joe Biden had some stern words while vowing justice against the killers of Steven Sotloff, who was beheaded by ISIS militants.

Earlier in the day, President Barack Obama said ‘we will not be intimidated’ and on Tuesday, Sen. Mark Kirk said Obama should ‘bomb the hell’ out of them.

While speaking Wednesday, Biden also used strong language.

“The American people are so much stronger, so much more resolved than any enemy can fully understand,” Biden said, according to Buzzfeed. “As a nation we are united and when people harm Americans we don’t retreat, we don’t forget. We take care of those who are grieving and when that’s finished, they should know we will follow them to the gates of hell until they are brought to justice because hell is where they will reside.”
