Chicago Shakespeare Theater announced Friday that the “cheeky” holiday show, ‘A Q Brothers’ Christmas Carol” will return for a third holiday season, Nov. 28, 2015-Jan. 3, 2016.

Developed by the hip-hop Q Brothers team and Chicago Shakespeare creative producer Rick Boynton, and based on Charles Dickens’ immortal holiday tale, the production stars GQ, JQ, Jackson Doran and Postell Pringle and features a live, turntable score by DJ Super Nova boasting everything from reggae to dubstep and epic rock. The world of the penny-pinching Ebenezer Scrooge is now inhabited by a Rastafarian Jacob Marley and a rap star Lil’ Tim, among other contemporary spins.

Tickets, $30–$48, go on sale Oct. 9 at the theater box office, 800 E. Grand (on Navy Pier) or online at www.chicagoshakes.com.
