PEORIA — Prentiss Nixon scored 15 points to help Bolingbrook defeat Geneva 63-42 for the third place in Class 4A.

Dimitri Akenton added 10 points, while Brodrick Thomas scored nine and Devon Sams finished with seven for the Raiders (25-7).

Bolingbrook trailed by three with about five minutes left in the third quarter, but a 15-3 run over a four-minute span erased the deficit. They extended the lead with a 13-2 run to start the fourth.

The Vikings (30-5) were led by Nate Navigato, who scored 15 points and had Geneva’s first nine points of the game.

Loudon Love-Vollbrecht added eight points and seven rebounds before being ejected for a flagrant foul early in the fourth quarter. A tie-up on the floor over a loose ball resulted in Love-Vollbrecht and Bolingbrook’s Julian Torres to scuffle and Love-Vollbrecht appeared to shove Torres to the floor as he tried to stand.
