Two people were killed in an apparent murder-suicide last week in south suburban University Park.

Tiffany Jones, 35, was fatally shot in the 700 block of Red Oak in University Park, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Jones, of the 21700 block of Galine Avenue in Sauk Village, was dead at the scene, officials said. An autopsy Friday found she died of multiple gunshot wounds and ruled her death a homicide.

Derrick Hamlin, 35, was found dead at the same University Park location and died of a gunshot wound to the head, the medical examiner’s office said. His home address was not available Monday.

University Park police did not respond to calls seeking comment.
