A 32-year-old man is in critical condition after a Sunday night shooting in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The man was shot about 7:35 p.m. in the 4700 block of West Van Buren, police said. The man was shot in the buttocks, and the bullet exited the man’s abdomen, police said.

He was initially taken to Loretto Hospital, but was later transferred to Stroger Hospital, police said.
