Downers South 16, Proviso East 0: Morgan Meyer racked up 11 strikeouts in an impressive win for the Mustangs (15-0, 2-0 West Suburban Gold). Maddy Paladino helped spark the offense, going 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored. Amanda Ray did her part in a 2-for-3 performance that included a stolen base.

Elgin 5, Batavia 3: Jessica Rago (2-8) threw a complete game and allowed just two earned runs while striking out five for struggling Elgin (3-14, 2-7 Upstate Eight River).

Lincoln-Way Central 7, Lemont 1: Naidelyn Medina (2-for-3) delivered a long ball for Lincoln-Way Central. Bree Schultz and Colleen McLaughlin each finished 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Marian Catholic 7, Bishop Mac 4: Winning pitcher Allison Spence homered and tallied three RBI for the Spartans. Alexis Wallace went 2-for-3 with three RBI and a run scored.

Marian Central 6, Fenwick 3: Marian Central (5-8, 1-5 East Suburban Catholic) got a much needed conference win thanks to a homer and three RBI form Jackie Chmiel and a long ball, two RBI and two runs scored from Mic Faunce (2-for-3).

Oak Forest 11, Illiana Christian 5: Kylie Powers put up big numbers for Oak Forest, going 3-for-4 with a home run, double, five RBI, and a run scored. Taylor Sterkowitz finished 3-for-4 with a double, RBI, and run scored.

St. Charles North 4, St. Charles East 3: St. Charles North edged out rival St. Charles East thanks to Kaitlyn Waslawski (1-for-3, run, two stolen bases) and Abby Howlett (1-for-3, RBI, run scored).

Sandburg 9 Plainfield Central 6: Ashley Wood (2-for-4) belted a triple and compiled four RBI for Sandburg (12-8). Niki Saviano (6-3) struck out three in the win.

Wheaton Academy 11, Timothy Christian 1: Bridget Koehler had a triple, three RBI, and scored two runs as Wheaton Academy crushed Timothy Christian. Madison Ebeling joined in on the fun with a homer and three runs scored. Courtney Kinnane (2-0) did not need all the run support as she pitched five inning and surrendered just one earned run and one hit while striking out seven and walking two.
