A northwest suburban man is facing federal child pornography charges.

Bruce H. Niggemann, 65, was arrested Wednesday morning on one count each of receiving and possessing child pornography, according to a statement from the U.S. attorney’s office.

Special agents with the U.S. Immigration and Customers Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations executed a federal search warrant at his home in West Dundee, according to the statement.

Two computers, a laptop and desktop, were seized along with multiple hard drives from his home, according to prosecutors.

Niggemann remains in federal custody until a detention hearing April 27 before Judge Sheila Finnegan.
