A winning $1 million lottery ticket was sold in northwest suburban Mount Prospect, and the winner has yet to come forward.

Someone bought the Quick Pick ticket at the Shell gas station at 1798 Elmhurst Road and matched the first five numbers for the May 1 Mega Millions drawing: 17, 18, 61, 66 and 74, according to the Illinois Lottery.

Winners have up to a year from the drawing date to claim their prize.

The Shell station will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
