SHARE Police: Body pulled from Lake Michigan near Navy Pier

A body was pulled from Lake Michigan Tuesday afternoon near Navy Pier, police said.

Officers responded to a marine distress call of a person in the water in the 1000 block of East Grand Avenue about 12:45 p.m., police News Affairs Officer Thomas Sweeney said.

A male was discovered unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene, Sweeney said.

Area Central detectives are investigating.
