Man shot in Austin

A man was shot in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side Thursday night.

The 23-year-old was outside in the 1000 block of North Lawler at 8 p.m. when he heard gunshots and felt pain, police said.

The man, shot in the buttocks and arm, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.
