A man was wounded in a Monday evening shooting in the Irving Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

About 5:30 p.m., the 31-year-old was in a vehicle in the 3500 block of West Irving Park when another male walked up and shot him in the chest, shoulder and left arm , police said.

He was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where his condition had stabilized, police said.
