A Hermosa man charged with stabbing his roommate in the abdomen late Sunday has been ordered held on a $100,000 bond.

Azarkhad Batdorj, 35, was charged with felony aggravated domestic battery in connection with the stabbing the stabbing that occurred about 11:45 p.m. Sunday in the 4000 block of West Palmer, police said Monday night.

Officers on patrol found the 23-year-old roommate outside with a stab wound to the abdomen, police said. He told officers his roommate had stabbed him with a kitchen knife in their apartment.

He was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he remained in critical condition late Monday, police said.

Batdorj was ordered held on a $100,000 bond at a hearing Tuesday, and will next appear in court June 15, court records show.
