About 9:50 p.m., the two men were standing on the sidewalk in the 3600 block of West 16th Street when two males walked up and opened fire, police said.

The older man was shot in the chest, leg and arm and pronounced dead shortly after the shooting, police said. The other man was shot in the right leg and took himself to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition had stabilized.
