Chris Sale is humbled and honored to be appearing in his fourth consecutive All-Star Game, but he acknowledged Monday that it couldn’t come at a worse time for the White Sox.

The Sox have some very positive momentum after winning each of their last four series. They’ve won nine of 12 against the Cardinals, Orioles Blue Jays and Cubs.

“We’ve really turned it around,” Sale said during an All-Star Game media session. “It’s building on top of that. The All-Star break came at a pretty bad time for us. We’ve been playing, we’ve been hot. Keep the fire and keep the intensity and come back in the second half the same way we left.”
