Man wounded in Chicago Lawn shooting

A man was shot several times in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side early Friday.

About 2:05 a.m., officers in the Chicago Lawn district heard gunshots and found the 21-year-old man shot in the abdomen and groin in the 6000 block of South Maplewood, police said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition had stabilized, police said.
