Man shot on Near North Side

Six people were shot, one fatally, Feb. 19, 2020 in Chicago.

A 25-year-old man was shot on the Near North Side early Wednesday.

Officers who heard gunshots in the 400 block of West Evergreen at 1:40 a.m. found the man on a sidewalk, shot in the ankle, police said, citing preliminary information.

He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
