A 15-year-old boy was shot in the foot in the Lawndale neighborhood early Wednesday on the Southwest Side.

About 12:10 a.m., he was outside in the 4000 block of West 21st Street when he heard shots and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition.

Police said he has documented gang ties.
