A man was shot in the Washington Heights neighborhood on the South Side Tuesday night.

About 7:55 p.m., the 19-year-old was shot in the heel in the 9400 block of South Green, police said.

He was taken to Little Company of Mary Hospital and Health Care Centers in Evergreen Park, where his condition had stabilized, police said.
