Police are warning residents of a recent string of burglaries in the Southwest Side Chicago Lawn and West Lawn neighborhoods.

In four incidents, burglars break in through a door or window and steal property from inside, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The burglaries happened:

  • about 1:30 p.m. Jan. 6 in the 3800 Block of West 60th Street;
  • about 6 a.m. Jan. 12 in the 6400 Block of South Albany Avenue;
  • about 3 p.m. Jan. 12 in the 3300 Block of West 60th Place; and
  • about 9:30 p.m. Jan. 12 in the 2900 Block of West 61st Street.

Anyone with information on the burglaries is asked to contact Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8382.
