Chicago Police are warning businesses about a pair of delivery driver robberies reported this month in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

At least two delivery drivers have been robbed at gunpoint since Jan. 11, according to a community alert from police.

The robberies happened at 11:53 p.m. on Jan. 11 in the 400 block of South Laramie Avenue, and at noon on Jan. 16 in the 5000 block of West Monroe Street, police said.

In each robbery, one or two men approached delivery drivers as they were making deliveries, pulled out a gun and demanded their property and food, police said. The robbers are described as one to two black men, 23-27 years of age, standing 5-foot-8 to 6-foot-1, weighing 135-175 pounds and armed with a black or chrome handgun.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Area North detectives at (312) 744-8263.
