Someone robbed a Potbelly Sandwich Shop at gunpoint Saturday morning in north suburban Northbrook.

Employees were in the back of the store in the 800 block of Skokie Highway preparing to open for the day about 7:55 a.m. Oct. 1 when a male with a gun appeared and ordered them to the floor, according to Northbrook police.

He ordered one of the employees to take the money from the safe and put it in a bag, police said. He ran out the rear door after the employee handed him the bag, and the employees then called police.

No one was in custody as of Friday morning.
