The 92nd Street bascule bridge over the Chicago River reopened Friday following the completion of sidewalk construction.

Chicago Department of Transportation crews replaced the bridge’s movable sidewalks’ deck grating and steel frames and installed new lighting, the department said in a statement.

With the bridge reopened, CTA No. 26 South Shore Express and No. 30 South Chicago buses will resume their normal routing, CDOT said.
