A man was fatally shot early Sunday in the West Rogers Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

Officers called about 4:30 a.m. to the 2400 block of West Devon discovered 28-year-old Abimbola Sheleru lying in an alley, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Sheleru, who lived in the 6100 block of North Hermitage, was shot multiple times in the back and taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, authorities said. He was pronounced dead at 7:43 a.m.
