A teenage boy was wounded in a shooting Monday evening in the Lawndale neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 15-year-old was shot in the right leg at 6:25 p.m. in the 1300 block of South Karlov, according to Chicago Police.

He took himself to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
