Person shot in South Chicago

A person was shot Saturday night in the South Chicago neighborhood.

About 9 p.m., a person was standing on the sidewalk in the 8100 block of South Coles when someone walked up and fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

The person was shot in both legs and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where his condition was stabilized.

Additional details were not immediately available.
