A 15-year-old boy is in serious condition after being shot Monday afternoon in the New City neighborhood on the South Side.

He was found outside with a gunshot wound to the abdomen just after 4 p.m. in the 4800 block of South Ada, Chicago Police said.

He was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in serious condition, police said.
