Man shot in leg in Austin

A man was shot in the leg Monday morning in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

The shooting happened in the 4800 block of West Adams about 11:30 a.m., according to preliminary information from Chicago Police.

The 24-year-old victim shot in the left leg, and was taken to Loretto Hospital, police said. Additional details weren’t immediately available.
