A south suburban man was charged with DUI after a rollover crash on Lake Shore Drive that left a woman seriously injured early Saturday on the South Side.

Roman Vasquez, 21, of the 12800 block of Lincoln Street in Blue Island, was charged with DUI for the four-vehicle crash, police said. He was also cited with driving with an open alcohol container, operating without insurance and driving 21-25 mph over the speed limit.

The crash happened about 12:15 a.m. in the southbound lanes near 47th Street, according to Chicago Police.

A 24-year-old woman was ejected from an SUV and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious condition, police said.
