A man was shot in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side Tuesday afternoon.

The 24-year-old was walking in the 1500 block of South Spaulding shortly before 4 p.m. when he heard shots and felt pain to his back, police said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with a gunshot wound to his back, police said. He was listed in fair condition.
