A man was shot in the West Garfield Park neighborhood Tuesday night.

The 32-year-old was sitting in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle in the 4400 block of West Monroe about 9:30 p.m. when he heard gunshots and felt pain, police said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with a gunshot wound to the right side of his face. His condition had stabilized, police said.
