2 men shot in West Englewood

Two men were shot Saturday in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

A 48-year-old man and a 41-year-old man were outside in the 5700 block of South Winchester Avenue at 1:30 p.m. when a vehicle drove by and someone inside fired shots, police said.

The older man suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and was taken to Provident Hospital of Cook County in serious condition. The younger man suffered a gunshot wound to the foot and was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in good condition, police said.
