A man was shot in the Humboldt Park neighborhood Tuesday night.

The 20-year-old was walking with a friend in the 1200 block of North Washtenaw about 7:17 p.m. when he heard gunshots and felt pain, police said.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital with a gunshot wound to the back, police said. His condition had stabilized.
