A 17-year-old boy was shot Friday afternoon in the Uptown neighborhood on the North Side.

The teenager was shot in the leg in the 4600 block of North Magnolia Avenue at 2:08 p.m., police said.

He was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where his condition stabilized, police said.
