The wait is over — when it comes to single ticket sales for “The SpongeBob Musical,” which begins its limited run June 7 at the Oriental Theatre (24 W. Randolph).

Those single tickets, $33-$100, will go on sale March 13 at broadwayinchicago.com and ticketmaster.com Group tickets for 10 or more are available by calling (312) 977-1710.

In addition, the musical, directed by Steppenwolf veteran Tina Landau, has added original songs from Yolanda Adams, Sara Bareilles and Alex Ebert of Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros to the roster of stars (The Flaming Lips, John Legend, Lady Antebellum, Cyndi Lauper, Panic! At the Disco, Plain White T’s, David Bowie, among others) already featured in the world-premiere musical based on the hit Nickelodeon animated series.

The musical’s cast includes Ethan Slater as SpongeBob SquarePants, Gavin Lee as Squidward, Nick Blaemire as Plankton, Lilli Cooper as Sandy Cheeks and Danny Skinner as Patrick.
