The Rams saw Zach Miller’s best-ever game up close. Now they want the Bears free agent tight end to join their team.
Miller will visit with the Rams on Sunday, a source confirmed, as he continues to feel out his market value.
His five catches for 107 yards and two touchdowns in St. Louis on Nov. 15 were a high-water mark in a surprising season. And their new passing game coordinator, Mike Groh, coached receivers for the Bears for three seasons.
The Bears have said they’d monitor Miller as he determines his value. With Martellus Bennett a trade candidate, the team seems likely to sign at least two tight ends.
Bears GM Ryan Pace has one fewer tight end option to choose from. Jermaine Gresham, who interviewed at Halas Hall Friday, decided to return to the Cardinals on a one-year deal despite, according to NFL Network, receiving a four-year contract offer from the Bears.
