Man shot in West Englewood

A man was shot early Thursday in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The 23-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk in the 1900 block of West Marquette Road around midnight when someone walked up and shot him in the leg, Chicago Police said.

He was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in fair condition, police said.
