A 16-year-old boy was shot Wednesday morning in the South Side Woodlawn neighborhood.

The teenager was outside in the 600 block of East 62nd Street about 9:40 a.m. when shots were fired from a red car, according to Chicago Police.

He was struck in the face and arm, and was taken in fair condition to Comer Children’s Hospital, police said.
