One person was injured in a fire Sunday afternoon that spread from one house to another in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The fire broke out in one house in the 100 block of North Menard and spread to the one next to it, according to Chicago Fire Media Affairs. It was struck out just after 4 p.m.

One person was taken to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, fire officials said. Additional information was not immediately available.
